GRACE CHIA
Grace Chia is one of Lutruwita’s most exciting emerging artists who uses her music to inspire the change she wants to see. Known for her raw and passionate performances amplifying marginalised voices and uniting community, expect deep-thought lyricism, soulful melodies and punchy bars. Grace regularly supports major acts including Dirty Dike (UK), Deca (US), Angry Black Men (US), Grouch (NZ) and K+Lab (NZ). She has supported countless national acts like Drapht, Seth Sentry, Miss Kaninna, Kobie Dee, Greeley, Dunn D and Bitter Belief.
In 2025, Grace released her sophomore album, ‘Undulation of a Healing Heart’, earning her Triple J Unearthed’s ‘Artist of The Week’. Grace performed internationally at Aotearoa’s Twisted Frequency Festival (24″) as well as her own NZ tour in 2025. She regularly performs nationally at major festivals including PITP, MONA FOMA, DARK MOFO and a Festival Called Panama.
Grace recently won The Australian Women in Music Award’s 2025 ‘Diversity in Music Award’ for the extensive work she has done to create safe and inclusive spaces for women in hip-hop. She is the 2024 recipient of the “Nick Balcombe ‘Live Your Dream’ Grant” and was selected in AU$’s ‘Best Emerging Artists’. In 2023, she earned a National Live Music Award’s nomination for ‘Best Live Act’ and was selected in The Push’s 25 under 25 ‘Best Emerging Artists’.
Grace launched her collaboration with the all-female/non-binary band FFLORA early 2024, headlining at MONA FOMA, and performing at a Festival Called Panama, DARK MOFO, Echo Festival, The Taste of Summer and MONA Museum. They debuted their first single Our Humanity ft. Randa Al Hasan in 2025.
